It might be your clockspring. (actually most likely it is your clockspring) try turning the turn signals on and turning the wheel from left to right all the way and then back again. you should hear a click noise in the steering wheel and the turn sigals should stop blinking if not your tab or something is not right on the clockspring. this requires removing the steering wheel and some special tools as there is a spring in your steering column. good luck The multifunction switch is bad. This is the switch that controls the trun signals, wipers, and cruise control. It is a multifunction switch Problem. This is the switch that controls the trun signals, wipers, and cruise control. The assembly is easy to change if you have any skills.... Took me only 50mins and my dealer wanted to charge an 1hr and 1/2
The cause for a turn signal flasher to keep clicking on a 1999 GMC Jimmy is a bad flasher unit. Replacing this with a new flasher unit should solve this problem.
Try replacing the turn signal flasher sometimes a near defective one with cycle
Bad turn signal flasher.
Most likely turn signal flasher
Check/replace turn signal flasher
Well, if none of them work, (front or back) I'd suspect a fuse or the flasher. Do the 4 way emergency lights work? If so, they operate on a separate flasher and this would indicatethat the turn signal flasher is bad.
A short would blow a fuse. I would check the flasher which is under the eash on the drivers side. The emergency flasher is different from the turn signal flasher.
Bulbs or turn signal flasher, maybe even the switch.
where is the turn signal flasher on a 1986 cadillac eldorado Rplace Turn signal flasher.Be careful cause ther is also a Flasher for the hazards,so make sure u say turn signal flasher and not flasher. These are two different plug type fuses.Around $8 to $15 bucks each
Check your turn fuse. Or the connection between the flasher and the turn signal. Sorry I mean check the connection between the flasher and the turn signal switch.
The first and least expensive thing I would do is replace the turn signal flasher. If the flasher is weak, then it could act-up just as you have suggested. The turn signal flasher is a separate system then the four way or hazard flashers even though they use the same bulbs. Generally, the turn signal flasher (which simply plugs in) is located near the steering column but on your model I would suggest you purchase it from your dealer and ask them to print out the picture of the flasher which will show you it's location. I you. Mark
most likely would be a bad turn signal flasher
