no it wont, because the 97 is a 700r 4l160e and the 99 is a 4l60e, the 97 is a one piece transmission and the 99 is a two piece transmission, on the 99 the bell housing can be removed and the 97 is a one piece.
NO. You must use a short shaft 4L60E CAR transmission not a truck transmission.
No it will not it is all together different. You MUST use a 97 model 4L60E transmission.
NO. The 97 and 96 transmission bellhousing are different then any other years. You must put a 96 or 97 4L60E transmission back in it.
The 96 and 97 4L60E transmission are THE ONLY 2 YEARS THAT WILL FIT
No it will not. The 96 and 97 transmission bellhousings are different.
yesAnswerSurely it will NOT. 94 V8 Automatic needs 94-97 V8 Transmission from Camaro, Firebird or Caprice (4L60E). AnswerFor you above me.. the v6 and v8 share a 4L60E transmission... YES they will fit. The auto is kept in check by the rear gear... The 4L60E is nothing more than a 4L60E
It is a 4L60E
No it will not fit CORRECTLY. You will need to get a 96 or 97 4L60E transmission so it will fit and everything will BOLT UP.
That would be a 4L60E
If it is a 1/2 ton then it will have the 4L60E transmission in it. The 3/4 tons used the 4L80E in them.
NO it will not. You can not use a 1996 or 1997 transmission. These 2 years are the only 1s that are different. They will only fit a 96&97.
NO, Not even close. There are ONLY 2 years that will WORK in that 97 and they are 96-97. You MUST get a 96 or 97 4L60E V-8 truck transmission and put it in your Tahoe. V-6 transmission won't fit your block.
