This drove me nut's, the only place it looked to fit in was in the filter where it goes into the pump, I wonder if anybody has put it there, well don't. I keep mine on the workbench as a reminder to Google stuff before getting frustrated.
THROW IT AWAY is the answer, It was to plug the Tranny Dip Stick whole during vehicle assembly. The plug was pushed in when the dipstick was installed.
Also lets you know the tranny is having its first filter change.

Turn the wheel to the left if changing the passinger side bulb and to the right if changing the drivers side bulb. Remove the pop out plug holding on the plastic wheelwell cover, reach in and turn the bulb holder a quarter turn, replace the bulb and re-assemble.
Remove the two or three plastic nuts in the corner where you are changing the bulb. Pull back the felt liner and then remove the three 10mm nuts. The light assembly can then come out for you to change the bulb.
changing the bulb
You alter the brightness of a bulb by changing the voltage or frequency that is applied to the bulb.
To change the driver's side headlight bulb on a 1998 Acura 3.5RL, open the hood and remove the old bulb. The new bulb cannot be touched by the fingers so use a small plastic pliers that can be found in the store near the bulbs. Put the new bulb in and gently push and turn.
Have you tried changing the bulb ? maybe the bulb is bad
If your talking about only changing the bulbs, you have to open the hood and reach behind the headlight. There will be a harness plugged into the back of the headlight. There is a black plastic ring that you must turn to get the bulb to release. Once released, unplg the harness from the bulb and replace bulb. Reverse order for installation.
The plastic might burn.
Well if you're just changing the bulb it's shockingly easy. I just did it in 15 minutes after putting it off for over a year! You just pop the hood and remove the wire thats plugged into the back of the bulb, then twist off the plastic cap that secures the bulb, then pull out the bulb, reverse the order to install your new bulb, hope that helps someone!
No.
A: It is not a filter but rather a limiting resistor for the current.
The plastic cover will pop off. Then remove bulb.
