If this dude is a good guy he'll keep his word and you'll see that he doesn't have feelings for your ex-best friend.However if he has a bad history of lying to girls then you should test your relationship.If you see him suddenly grabbing you to hug or kiss when she's around then you can tell that he wants to make her regret breaking up with him.Also, pay attention to his reactions when she's next to him.Does he look at her a lot?Does he mistake you for her?If so then he still has feelings for her and it's time for you to move on.
