Your water is foul. Change it ASAP. The fishes slime coating and natural protections are being destroyed by the poisons (ammonia/ Nitrite etc) in the water. You obviously are not using the basic rules of fish keeping. 1 inch of fish needs a minimum of 1 gallon of water. Every tank containing aquatic life needs a fully cycled filter. Every tank needs to have a minimum of 50% of its water changed weekly. Follow those rules and you should have a no problem/no illness time with your fish.
