Yes, there is a statue of Charles Kingsley in Bideford, Devon, which is located in the southwest of England. Kingsley was a 19th-century English writer and clergyman known for works such as "The Water-Babies" and "Westward Ho!".
Brian May gave him the nick name of Lover of Life, Singer of songs.
It has to be noted that "Freddie Mercury" is actually a nickname. His real name was Farrokh Bulsara.
Freddie Mercury was diagnosed with AIDS in 1987, but when he contracted the disease is unknown. It has been suspected that it could have been closer to 1985. He died in 1991, only a day after announcing publicly that he had AIDS.
freddie mercury died on the evening of 24 November 1991 at the age of 45, at his home in Kensington. The official cause of death was bronchial penumonia resulting from AIDS. The news of his death had reached newspaper and television crews by the early hours of 25 November. RIP freddie murcury :)xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
MIKA has only been compared to Freddie and he is flattered by it. But he is NOT his son. MIKA's father is named Michael and he is American. Watch a few MIKA interviews on youtube if you would like to know more about MIKA.
Mercury wrote 10 of the 17 songs on Queen's Greatest Hits album: "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Seven Seas of Rhye", "Killer Queen", "Somebody to Love", "Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy", "We Are the Champions", "Bicycle Race", "Don't Stop Me Now", "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and "Play the Game"
According to the book "Mercury and me" By Freddie's long term partner Jim Hutton, Freddie died in his bedroom at his estate Garden Lodge, 1 Logan Place. It's in the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London.
The medical establishment that filled him with toxic drugs to 'fight' his condition. Or it was a big pharmaceutical company when they created the HIV virus in a laboratory and with the help of governments 'allowed' it to escape. Either way, he was murdered.
The above answer is ridiculous. Freddie contracted HIV from having unprotected sex. No one knows who he got it from. I'm sure the person who gave him the virus did so unknowingly, as the HIV virus was not known at the time.
Freddie mercury did not officially have a grave. He was cremated and the whereabouts of his ashes remains a mystery. It has been said that they are buried under the cherry tree in his garden, at garden lodge. It has also been said that they were scattered at Lake Geneva, a place where Freddie had an apartment, and a place where he found great peace. There has been rumours that there is a parsee burial ground in London, where his ashes were buried in an unmarked grave there. (It too 1 whole year for his ashes to be picked up from the undertakers .. Quite sad) His whereabouts have to remain unknown as there are some strange people out there who would try and dig him up, when all he deserves is to be left to rest in peace.
I think that would be up to the individual to decide. Of course i am going to say he is in heaven, as i feel he was such a huge inspiration to us all. He fought aids with dignity and true bravery right until the end.
1985 he sang at the Wembley Live Aid Concert
No, Freddie has AIDS; he later died when he caught pneumonia. (AIDS kills your immune system)
RIP Freddie <3
Yes. There are several photos of him showing his green underwear. Also, his dance belt is obvious under his white leotard.
he thought that if he was going to be in a band he had to change his name + he thought it sounded like a country or state also Mercury is the Ruling planet of his starsign - Virgo, and he was already known as Freddie. Mercury came from an early Queen song which featured a line he wrote of 'Mother Mercury' he was referring to his mother, and fancied keeping the name.
This is a personal opinion question, there is no right or wrong answer. As for me, he was a great and unique singer, but I like other singers more, but he is at the top of the best rock n' roll singers.
It is an excess of $300 million as of today. In a documentary when he died in 1991 his networth was $85 million dollars. He gave hefty amount of money to AIDS charities before he died, so they could find a cure. The rest of his money went to his sister, parents and a little to his grlfriend, the rest went to his lover, chef and bodyguard.ACTUALLY, FREDDIE DONATED VERY LITTLE TO AIDS RESEARCH CONTRARY TO WHAT WAS SPECULATED AFTER HIS DEATH!!! i REMEMBER READING THAT AND JUST A FEW MONTHS AGO, i READ THAT FREDDIE WAS NOT HAPPY FOR THE FACT THAT HE HAD AIDS AND THAT LITTLE COULD BE DONE TO SAVE HIS LIFE!!! i AM SURE HE GAVE MUCH TO mARY AUSTIN, THE TRUE LOVE OF HIS LIFE AND PROBABLY HIS MUM AND DAD!!!
