It be be the fuel. I once had gasoline with water in it. try put some a couple of cans of heat in the fuel tank. It could also be debris in the gas or fuel line. Worst problem the computer or "brain box is acting up"
Pull out a spark plug, rest it on a piece of metal under the hood, have someone crank the engine, and see if it sparks. If not, check for a spark at your ignition coil by doing the same thing. If you still have no spark, check your distributer cap and rotor, they may need replaced, or the whole distributer may need replaced. If you are asking about changing the ignition coil that is mounted on top of the distributor cap, it is held in with two screws and can easily be replaced.
The ignition is shot - just replaced mine $315.00.
the ignition timing does not get replaced on 87 dodge.
This could be a bad ignition switch, ignition relay, or ignition fuse.
did you have your ignition coil replaced? the signs are that the ignition coil is overheating thus you are able to restart after an hour, when the coil cools. also check if your ignition coil has a resistor. if it has, have it checked for continuity. did you have your ignition coil replaced? the signs are that the ignition coil is overheating thus you are able to restart after an hour, when the coil cools. also check if your ignition coil has a resistor. if it has, have it checked for continuity.
check the ignition switch , it might be bad and may need to be replaced.
you can take it to be replaced it has a recall on them
it`s in the distributer. you have to replace the whole thing to fix it, you cant just swap the internals. but if its having idle problems and you checked the check engine light, and it showed camshaft sensor it may be the fuel pump, that's what happend to me and i replaced the whole ignition system till i figured it at. good luck
tumbler has slipped. hit key with mallet . but ignition keylock will soon have to be replaced
I'd call a locksmith. The ignition wil probably have to be drilled and replaced.
Did you replace the FUEL FILTER when you replaced the fuel pump?
