There are three motor mounts on a '97 Grand Am 2.4L. The most obvious is on the passenger side, just forward of the strut mounting point. There are two nuts holding on a bracket there, and a third attaching the bracket to the frame. Remove these, and you can see the bracket that attaches to the engine itself. Two more screws, and it's loose and ready for you to lift the engine out. The next is located behind the passenger front wheel. It's attached to the strut on that side of the car and requires removal of the tire and splash shield to get to. The third and final mount is located next to the transmission on the Drivers side. I have not seen the precise location of this mount, but a good mechanics manual from the auto parts store should help if you need to work on this area.
That's a big job. You will want to buy the shop manuals before you tear the top off your motor. Buy the shop manuals. They are expensive, but if you plan to keep the car you will not regret it.
Yes but it will rub so u want to get it lifted or get some lifters
