Make a sharp turn to the left or right it should jerk as you turn. and you can put it up on 4 jack stands and see if front wheels are turning.
The light that comes on when 4 wheel drive is engaged is not the service light. It is just an indicator light that comes on to let you know the 4 wheel drive is engaged. It will go off when the 4 wheel drive is disengaged.
Yes there is. If you have the floor mounted shifter there is a bulb in the console that is in need of replacement. Remove the panel to get at it.
The hot oil warning light is not for the engine oil, it's indicating the auto transmission oil is too hot. If you are climbing a long hill with the over drive engaged (button in front of shifter) it will constantly shift jumping in and out of a lower gear. With the 4hi engaged it adds addition work load to an already hot tranny. If the light comes on stop and left the engine idle in park for 5 minutes. Turn off the OD and continue on.
I believe that there is a button that controls this light. I drive a 95 Toyota Camry Coupe, and on my console down by the Gear Shift there is a small button labeled "PWD". When engaged (Down) the light is off, and when disengaged (up) the lGren PWD light shows on the Instrument panel. My understanding is it has to do with Traction Control Hope that helps!
i know on my 93 jimmy i put it into neutral and then push the 4x4 button.. it blinks then the light is steady and put the truck back into drive and go
There is a button on the right side of the tractor along with the cluster of other buttons. Just push in switch and light should come on switch that is 4wd. 4wd on this tractor is electric engaged.
check and make sure it contacts, theres not much room behind that button and any play may cause it not to connect, push the dash assembly around the button firmly with one hand and push the button with the other, does it light up and engage
why wont the light come on the 4x4 drive
When engaged in four wheel drive light flashes but wont engage the shaft locks but no four wheel actuator is not pushing out in my 97 tahoe?
because you have the power button turned on,push the button again to turn it off
It is a electromagnetic Parking brake button. Press down to disengage and pull up to engage. you should hear a distinctive sound in the process that sounds like a low power electric drill. when the noise goes away after 2 seconds, the parking brake is engaged or disengaged. when engaged, the button will light up in red.
Probably a faulty sensor or connection.
