buy a new battery Ford starters will short if there is a problem with the battery this short will turn the starter over by itself
Disconnect both cables on battery, hold horn down for abouta minute, reconnect battery about 15 minutes later
AnswerThe power steering top up tank is unbelieveably located under the battery. You have to take the battery out and the battery compartment and disconnect some ducting to get at it, which probably why some servicers don't bother to check it, resulting in expensive problems later. pre 1996 just hold the battery cables together (disconnect BOTH from battery first!!!) for a few seconds. 1996 or later varies. DONT slap the battery cables, message me the make and model and i will see if there is a easy way or if you need a controller.
usually a stuck horn is caused by a bad horn relay.sometimes it is the horn switch itself sticking.even rarer is a faulty horn that becomes stuck. try the relay.
disconnect the battery for 30 seconds to reset the light. It will come back on later when it figures out the catalyst is missing.
Because you have an engine problem. Take it to AutoZone, or NAPA, and they will check it for free. To reset the computer, disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal and turn the headlight switch on, then back off, and reconnect the battery about 30 minutes later. If there is no problem, the light will stay off. If there IS a problem, it will come back on.
In most later Honda models the battery is located under the driver's seat. The first step is to remove this. The seat is usually fastened with two bolts, often of the Allen type, one on each side of the rear of the seat. Then the seat is pulled back a bit and it is loose. In some bikes the CDI ignition unit is on top of the battery, pull this aside so it does not hinder access to the battery. Now you can remove the battery cables from their terminals. Disconnect the negative (black) cable first and then disconnect the positive (red) cable. Lift the old battery out and put the new battery in place. Be careful that the new battery turns the same way as the old battery, so the negative and positive cables will readily be connected to their respective terminals. Now, connect the positive cable and then the negative cable. Make sure the small bolts on the battery terminals are well fastened to the cables. Put the seat again in place and tighten the nuts on either side. Now you are ready to go.
Once you disconnect the negative battery cable for at least two minutes, the air bag system will disarm on 1997 and later XJ models. You can then open up the steering wheel components and test them. The horn lead is the single spade connected wire that travels into the airbag module. Power to the horn, air bag and cruise control is passed from the harness via the clock spring.
From the factory it only had 1 battery. So if you have more than 1 it was installed later and could be mounted anywhere. From the factory it only had 1 battery. So if you have more than 1 it was installed later and could be mounted anywhere.
1967 and later models have 12-volt systems (12-volt battery) !!
battery is weak or connections loose or corroded. Be prepared. When you disconnect the battery your factory radio will lock. You have to have a code for it to work again. I am currently having this problem and everywhere wants to charge a ridiculous amount of money for the code. (from Sotec)--\/ This is exactly what the problem is. The battery is most likely 'bad' as can be reported by a parts store. This happened to me. Replaced the battery. Golden. :) Oh, make sure you get the short battery. They'll try and sell you the long one...hint: it doesn't fit.
If it's the "check engine" light you can do two things. One, take it to Auto Zone and they will clear the codes from the computer or disconnect the negative battery terminal for at least 10 seconds. Note, if you still have a problem, the light will come back on sooner or later.
