(This is just from my personal experience and data I have collected, which can just be one of the many problems)
(Winter blend gas VS Summer Blend gas) If this condition occur during a warm or hot day it could be caused from the gasoline in your vehicle. During the cold winter days the gas station purchase a winter blend type of fuel for better start up in the morning due to the easier voltality of the gasoline. Simply this just means evaporation of the gasoline. As the weather changes and the gas station are still trying to sell the last of their winter blend fuel and if purchased it can cause a vehicle to start but then quickly shutting off during warm/hot start ups. After a few crank the vehicle should start and drive normally, try pumping gas at a top tier gas station such as 76, Shell or Cheveron. The reason why using winter blend fuel makes it so hard to start during warmer climate is because the added molecule to make the fuel vaporize for colder days in the winter just becomes too much in warmer temperature. Too much vaporize fuel and less dense liquid fuel will cause a hard start or start and shut off because the supply of fuel to the engine is not sufficient. To solve this just try fueling up where you think the gas station has switched over to the summer blend. Or simply asking the owner of the gas station can't hurt too bad. Good luck and hopefully this helps.
Also try checking to see if your air filter isn't clogged, or if your getting enough fuel to your fuel injectors.
2007 honda civic starts up then dies
It was a worn out ignition switch on my 91 Civic
This car should still be under warranty, let the dealer solve this.
b15 is the type of engine block that is in your honda
If the fuel injectors are dry then the 1998 Honda Civic may have a gas leak. The car should be inspected, even a pin hole leak can lead to a fatal accident.
In hot weather my Honda Accord 2000 starts but idles rough and dies.
The most common cause for your 1997 Honda Civic lights to dim is a bad alternator. The alternator is not charging the battery. The battery retains a small charge, but not enough charge to run the engine.
Disconnect the batery cable from the battery while the vehicle is running, if it dies, you need a new alternator there, buddy.
Check your fuel filter and pressure.
Change the cam sensor
Your idel speed my be set too low.
bad ignition or you have a serious short.
