The throttle plate in the throttle body may be stuck and needs to be freed up and/or lubricated

fuel in your oil can be several things. Bad rings, a blown head gasket, these are the most common problems. Checking cylinder compression is the best way to find out.
My 01 Grand Cherokee had this problem. Sometimes you turn the key and it starts up just fine. Other times you have to turn the key several attempts before anything happens. Sometimes I have to get it jump-started. The extra power from a second battery will overpower the dead spot and it will start right up.
