You say it will not turn over - so that's a starter problem and then you say it won't start meaning the starter works but it won't crank up. Why did you change anything without knowing where to start the repair. Excuse me for being stern but you are learning the hard way - which is good. Did you have a check engine light? Remove a spark plug wire and stick a screwdriver up in it and then hold the metal of the screwdriver a quarter inch close to some engine metal part while your buddy tries to crank the engine. Got a spark? If not - Work on the firing circuits. If you do have a spark - then go work on the fuel supply system.
you need to take it off an look to see if it is fouled down(black marks)
my 98 suburban did the same thing. when i changed my headlight switch that turns them off and on, they started working again.
First check for vacuum leaks in the hoses, especially the hose going to the vacuum modulator on the distributor. Then check for a bad vacuum modulator. Other problems may be worn or bad valves, piston rings, or timing chain or timing gear wear.
your car is out of gas
check out the starter......
NO.... They changed the body style in late 1999.
if you have changed the electric fuel pump in the tank with a delco pump also the filter and checked the module there is a good chance that the fuel pump relay on the right side out under the hood on the firewall is bad also the anersha switch may have been triped also check to see if you are getting fire at the plugs if not it could be the ignition module inside the distributor
Hmm. You have done everything that is correct. I take it, your battery is able to crank the engine strongly. Assuming your distributor is electronic, I think you have the same problem I had earlier. I had to change the entire distributor to eliminate the problem. I was able to get a Used one which was cheaper. Prior to that, I checked the distributor cap and I found a small minute crack on it. The takeup points of distribution was also corroded, maybe due to water or moisture. This could have contributed to the lack of spark. Anyway, the used distributor came complete with cap and wires and my problem was solved. Hope my answer helps in some way for you to check yours.
No, a 1995 Chevrolet Suburban does not have a carburetor. The carburetors were changed in 1995 and replaced with fuel injectors.
Yes, if the spark plug wires can be connected to the distributor and works.
Runa compression check. If it has low compression in that cylinder you might have a burned or sticking valve.
