You don't, it has a spring loaded tensioner, If the serpentine belt is loose the tensioner has failed and needs to be replaced
There is a spring loaded tensioner that is supposed to keep the serpentine tight. If it is loose, it needs to be replaced.
I recently replaced my tensioner using this web page. It does include a diagram for routing the serpentine belt that I also replaced.. Hope this helps! http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1138497
You don't. If it has stretched too much for the tensioner pulley to handle, you need a new belt. Or, if the tensioner pulley is not applying correct tension, the tensioner pulley must be replaced.
If you're certain that the sound is from the serpentine belt you should check the belt tensioner. A weak tensioner spring will result in slipping and a noisy belt.
There is no way to adjust the belt tensioner, if it's not keeping enough tension on the belt the complete tensioner itself will need replaced.
Assuming you're asking about the serpentine belt, you cannot adjust the tension. If the belt is too loose it's either because it needs to be replaced or the belt tensioner needs to be replaced.
There is no adjustment, they use a belt tensioner to keep it tight. If it is loose it need to be replaced.
You cannot adjust the tension on this, it has a spring inside of it. If it is weak, it must be replaced.
If the tensioner is sticking and not keeping pressure, then there could be a broken spring or a piece rubbing. The tensioner will likely need to be replaced. If it will not move enough to remove the belt then the belt will need to be cut off.
if there is any play at all in the bearing on the tensioner,it needs replacing. also if you hae the correct new serpentine belt and the tensioner does not keep the belt tight when installed properly, you need new tensioner
use a breaker bar to release pressure on automatic belt tensioner
