I had the same problem with my 01 caravan. Took it in and I was told it was the resistor switch that had gone bad. They replaced it and it has worked well since then. -------------------------------- Easy fix. (1) Drive to nearest large auto parts store; (2) Buy a blower fan resistor for a 2001 thru 2007 Caravan (costs about $20 at parts store and about $50 at dealer); (3) Drive home and remove keys from ignition; (4) Grab flashlight and small socket wrench set; (5) Open front passenger door and kneel on ground; (6) Open glove box & take everything out; (7) Press on sides glove box and allow it rotate down (everything would have fallen out if you had not removed the contents; (8) Shine flash light into open hole where glove box was and look for thing about the size pack of cigarettes that has two wiring harnesses connected to it (one large and one small connector); (9) Remove connectors and remove two screws holding in resistor; (10) Screw in new resistor and plug in connectors; (11) Put stuff back in glove box; (12) Test the fan at all speeds.

Why does my heat in my 1999 dodge caravan only work when you turn the heat on high?

a bad blower motor resistor heat normally used on medium and high medium usually burns out those speeds first till only high is left normally located right back under glove box on heater box/core line usually 20-40$

What is wrong if the heater in a 1999 Honda Civic doesn't get warm?

could be thermostat or heater fan if you can hear all the speeds on the blower motor working then it could be your thermostat but your heater core might be plugged as well

What if your heater only blows on low and medium it shuts off when turned on high?

The low and medium speeds run thru a resistor. The high speed runs thru a relay. The relay or possibly the switch itself may be bad.

What is a resistor block for on a Dodge Caravan?

The resistor block or blower motor resistor is used to control the speed of the blower motor. That is how you get the lower speeds on your air conditioning or heater. The higher the resistance the lower the speed of the motor.

2002 Gran Prix heater has 5 speeds the lowest 2 are not working could this be a blown fuse?

Sounds more like switch or resistor is defective

Heater switch has been replaced but still 134 speeds only working on 2002 Montana?

replace the blower motor resistor located on the passenger side under dash up in the corner.

Heater only working on number 4?

It sounds like the blower resistor assembly is defective. All fan speeds except for high go through resistors (that is what controls the speeds from low to high). Number 4 is high and has the full 12 volts going to the fan.

What happends when a wave passes from less to a denser medium?

it speeds up

If its not the fuse Why did your heater fan on your 95 GMC Sierra 2500 stop working completely?

There's a sensor in the duct work behind th glove box under the dash that controls the fan speeds. It could be that. On my truck I only had the two highest speeds and that's the part I changed.
