If the service engine light is on the computer has stored a problem code. Use a code scanner to find out what the code is. The computer has specific information about what is wrong with your vehicle, there is no need for anyone who has only read about your observations to guess. Code readers are available at most auto parts retailers. You can usually borrow, rent or buy one. Many auto parts retailers will let you borrow a code reader in hopes that you will buy the parts from them. The code readers are very easy to use and usually give you quite specific information about what's wrong. If the service engine light is on the computer has stored a problem code. You should notice lack of power and a rough idle. If you are still running you are lucky; get it checked out ASAP. When this happened with my vehicle(grand am 2001 se), it was a module problem. Had to be replaced.
Have vehicle scanned to determine the problem and have codes cleared
Usually indicative or a problem with the emission control system - have vehicle scanned to determine the problem
Had same problem in 2002 Pontiac Gran Prix. The blower motor has two parts, one for settings 1-4 and one for setting 5. This was a sensor problem, not a fuse problem. Dealer service writer was familiar with problem. Repair about $110. at dealership

Service engine
What model do you have? I am saying no to your question. In most vehicles the service engine light deals with the operation of the "engine", igniton system, exhaust, and fuel system. If there is a problem with the brakes you could see an ABS light (if equiped) or a BRAKE! light on. If the Service engine soon light is on in your vehicle the problem lies in one of those systems. Good Luck
Wiring in the front by the suspension gets pinched. I have about 5 friends with these cars & my daughter has one. It fixed the problem
Yes they do.
You can try disconnection the battery for 10-15 min but if there is a problem that turned the light on to begin with it won't go away without the problem being fixed.
Stability system needs service?
engine tune just a major service then maybe a new exhaust system
You can find a power window wiring diagram for your 1977 through 1979 Pontiac Trans Am in Pontiac service manuals. The service manuals can be found at most local libraries.
