2002 ford ranger won't blow hot air?

Chances are 90% that it is your blend door. At any rate pull out the glove box you should be able to see a small rad like thing off to the left. with the engine running see if this is warm to the touch. If it is then its almost certainly your blend door. Having established that there's 2 problems. Fist it may be the actuator assembly that moves the blend door or it could be the blend doors hinges that have failed. Here's the bad news the only real way to access any of this is to take your dash apart. Why Ford put cheap plastic components in a completely inaccessible area I have no idea but there you are. When this happened to my truck I took the chance and decided it was the blend door itself. this is easier to fix if you don't mind making an access hole. I just cut a hole under the dash on the passengers side big enough to reach the blend door and then taped it closed for the winter. Its -25 degrees below zero here on the Canadian prairies right now so that rules out doing repairs in a frozen truck.
