The weep hole your talking about is for the seal on the water pump. you need to replace water pump to stop the leak. The water pump is driven by the timing chain. The entire front of the engine needs to be disassembled to access.
most coolant temp sensors are located on the intake or the thermostant housing, but i have seen some on the heads
The coolant thermostant is located just underneath the alternator. Follow the lower radiator hose to the engine. It comes as an assembly, Meaning the housing is built into the thermostat itself.
The housing gasket may be bad. Replace the gasket.
The thermostat housing on a Chrysler 302.7 L engine can be removed by loosening the 3 housing bolts. Remove the water hose and the housing will come off. Reverse the process to replace with a new housing.
