I have a 2006 Mazda 6 station wagon I purchased in September 2006. It now has about 125Km. Recently the transmission started acting up. It downshifts on its own with a sudden jerk for no reason. Yesterday, August 23/12, it tried to downshift from 6th while going up a small hill but went straight into neutral. The revs jumped way up and I took my foot off the gas pedal. Then it suddenly dropped down to 3rd gear. It doesn't do this all the time but when it does, it is scary. Is the Transportation Board of Canada aware of this? hAS Mazda taken any steps to help people having similar problems?
