looking for an answer to this question "Where is the MAP sensor located in a 6 cylinder Ford Ranger 1994 Help! www. motorcraft. com (no spaces) does not list a MAP sensor , it shows an AIR MASS SENSOR which I assume is the MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR which would be mounted close to your air filter housing
It is near the thermostat. can you give a better location left or right of thermostate above or below it
The 1994 Ford Ranger pickup truck map sensor is located behind the dashboard, on the passenger side of the passenger compartment. The map sensor is contained in a dust free box.
According to www . motorcraft . com ( no spaces ) the IAT sensor is a thread in type for the engines in a 1994 Ford Ranger - so threaded into the upper area of the intake manifold somewhere

I'm not a mechanic / technician but the engine wiring schematic in my Chilton repair manual for the 2.3 in a 1994 Ford Ranger does not show a knock sensor
It doesn't have a knock sensor on the 4.0 L OHV in a 1993 Ranger ( my 1995 Ford Explorer 4.0 L OHV engine doesn't have a knock sensor either )
The map sensor is located on the intake manifold of a 1994 Ford. It could also be located on the plenum by the throttle body.
Radar
On a 4.0 V-6 the crank position sensor is in a fixed location and cannot come in contact with the crank if it is installed correctly.
