FIRST VERIFY THAT THERE ARE REALLY SPEAKERS THERE, MINE JUST HAS GRILL AND NO SPEAKERS, I BELIEVE BOSE SYSTEM DOES NOT HAVE SPEAKERS THERE. IF YOU DID WANT TO GET TO THEM, YOU WOULD NEED TO REMOVE ALMOST THE WHOLE DASH TO GET TO THEM. MY GRILLS WERE NOT REMOVABLE FROM THE TOP. I HAVE REMOVED THE WHOLE DASH DOWN TO THAT POINT. DONT DO IT. IT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND HOW MUCH YOU HAVE TO REMOVE TO GET THERE.

The 1996 corvette does not have a T Top.
On 1984-1989 Corvette, the dash top grilles only housed speakers if the car was not fitted with Bose stereo, about 10% of production. TOM
there are four bolts then the top will pick straight off
Remove the retaining ring from the top of your 1989 Chevy Corvette ignition switch. Slide the ignition switch out and remove the wiring harness.
Remove the 4 bolts at each corner of the top with the supplied tool that should be in your console. If the tool is missing, seek a replacement.

The coil is located in the top part of the distbutor cap
There are 4 bolts, 2 in front & 2 in back. You need the tool to remove the bolts.
The thermostat is located inside of the water inlet on top or the engine. Remove the top radiator hose, then the inlet to get to it.
Remove the fuse labled theft. It is in top lh corner
