update: i put the clutch in and put it into gear n let the clutch out and it feels like i wont disengage all the way shifting is fine, i have played with the adjustment and still nothing, jus more or less freeplay in the pedal. i took off the cables so there would be no pedal and same thing i put the brake on and put it in gear and the car does not stall just a low idle i let off the brake and it goes just when i hit the gas there is really no response it just feels like the clutch is not disengaging
the last time i changed the spark pluges in my 86 subaru gl wagon, i took the engine out. seriously, it needed a clutch at the time.
No, slipping is not affected by low hydraulic fluid level. The hydraulics of your clutch only DISENGAGE your clutch, they do not engage it. If it's slipping, it's either worn out, the pressure plate springs have weakened or you have oil on the clutch disk.
On my 86 2.0l it has a hydrallic clutch and there is no adjustment, but you can check the reservoir to see if there is enough fluid in it.
The 1986 Honda Prelude does not have a clutch cable. The 1986 Prelude has a hydraulic clutch instead of the clutch cable.
sounds like air in the system, to properly bleed the slave cylinder you must remove the mount screws and hold it so the bleed port is up
yes
My 86' Subaru GL wagon has 217,900 miles on it and is still running strong!
You can find a free wiring diagram for an 86 Subaru GL in your vehicle's owner's manual. You can also find it at various auto part retail stores.
No fluid in the master cylinder
No, the 86 has 7 clutch plate and the 85 has 6 so the 85 clutch cover is not deep enough. I had the same issue
Could be your starter.
An 86 Blazer does not use a special type of brake fluid. Standard fluid from any auto parts will work fine.
