I would recommend checking your distributor or coil packs depending on what you have.
Plug wires and plugs.
there are 2 spark plugs per cylinder, that along with 3 valves per cylinder, and a 5 speed trans which were designed primarily to accommodate the EPA's smog rules.
Misfires at low speed
check spark plugs
In the engine compartment in front of the radiator at the top you will find all kinds of information including what kind of spark plugs and the spark plug gap
the cam sensor reads speed and works with the crank position sensor to tell your coil packs when to fire your spark plugs and what cylinder to fire on
It is probably your spark plugs misfiring.
The spark plugs are 100,000 mile plugs. You need o replace them with platinum plugs, then remove the throttle body and idle speed motor then clean them and reassemble it. There are no spark plug wires on the 3.5L engine.
Check the Vehicle Emissions Control Information ( VECI ) decal located in the front of your engine compartment ( it will show the type of spark plugs used and the spark plug gap )
They may be defective, or get fouled due to excess carbon build-up. Pull the plug wires one by one to see which cylinder doesn't drop the engine speed, and that one is your culprit.
Faulty/fouled spark plugs or spark plug wires. I had this problem and a set of new wires fix it.
I have a 1993 Mazda 626, 5 speed. Had to replace the whole wiring harness. After replacing the harness my car will not start. All it does is crank, I checked for spark and i have none. Replaced the distributor rotor, spark plugs and still no spark. even checked to see if the fuses are all good. Oh also i don't have to hold the clutch in it cranks without holding the clutch in Never did that before. Anyone have any ideas? Or where i can look for more help?
