The Power Steering pump and the alternator are mounted in the same way, they have a pivot bolt (like older cars) and a bolt that holds the position adjustment for proper belt tension, but Accords also have a third bolt that sets the adjustment, instead of holding it by hand while the mount bolts are tightened. Start here: Disconnect the high pressure power steering hose from the top. Leave the lower connected so as not to lose the fluid. Remove the nut on the under side of the power steering pump. Loosen the pivot bolt on top of the pump. Use a 10mm socket to loosen the adjustment screw, then remove the bolt from the tab that holds it. The pump should now be loose enough to push it down and to remove the belt. Remove the bolts and adjuster to move the pump out of the way enough to access the alternator. Remove the belt from the alternator the same way. Disconnect the battery, and wires to the alternator. Remove the bolts and adjusters and remove the alternator.

hi hello
IT IS A BAD IGNITOR ON THE INSIDE OF THE DISTRIBUTOR.
The replacement cost for an alternator in the 2005 Honda Accord LX is about $165 plus labor. It is possible to change an alternator of this type in about 15 minutes, but most repair places might charge an hourly fee for labor. Labor cost will depend on where the work is done.
I want to know the number for the valve lash adjustment.
