check your fuel pressure, 50 to 61, (should not bleed down) if it bleeds down you found your problem. Top of plenum remove power valve look inside plenum, cycle key and look for fuel leak on regulator, if leaks replace regulator. several thing im in the same boat with a 95 vortec v 6 im still researching it if you hear any thing let me know is yours a tb injection? i think it should be if so it will be much simpler than mine when you put a new pump in does it improve greatly (performance) and what or how does it run when its starting to go out, or does it just stop, and how many psi is your pump required to make

You can replace them in any order. Just do not forget which plug wire goes to which cylinder.. The engine is a 4.3
Yes it does, Just follow the top radiator hose to were it clamps onto the engine. That will be the thermostat housing, it has 2 bolts holding it to the engine, remove that housing and the thermostat will be under there.
