Regulator leak can be inspected by removing valve on top of plenum and looking for fuel leak in plenum when key is cycled. When regulator leaks, the fuel drains into the passenger side of intake runner. Dry, black sooty deposits. Will cause weak spark and eventually misfire. Fault: over-rich fuel mixture. Check: carburetor mixture settings, float level and jet sizes; choke operation and cleanliness of air filter. Plugs can be re-used after cleaning. Learn to Read Your Plugs Todays fuels vary in quality and additive treat levels. Although a certain level of detergent additive is required by law to be formulated into gasoline, cost restrictions cause refineries to use low quality additives in the lowest additive concentration (LAC), a level insufficient to prevent deposit accumulation. As a result, deposits accumulate on fuel injectors, intake valves and combustion chambers, often within just a few thousand miles, disrupting spray patterns, affecting electronic sensors and causing a multitude of problems. Your Injectors if you have them more then likely need a good cleaning, then help to keep them clean as you drive. Good Luck and Remember.

I have a 1993 S10 Blazer and I filled up yesterday with 338.2 miles on the last full tank it took 16.258 gallons for a mpg of 20.8, when I first got the blazer a couple of years ago the mileage was terrible, I changed the plugs to Bosch Platinum, changed the oxygen sensor, changed the oil and filter using Castrol Syntec 10 w 30 and changed the air filter. The major causes of my bad mileage was a bad air filter and Oxygen sensor. Here is a link to mileage figures for a 93 Blazer with a 4.3 litre engine, you can search for a 92 when you get there. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/noframes/10538.shtml
you may have changed the tire size which will give you incorrect mileage hence causing an erroneous gas mileage reading.
Hypermilers are drivers who exceed EPA-estimated mileage on their vehicles by modifying their driving habits. == ==
the steering box turns the drivers side wheel and the link goes across under the engine and turns the passenger wheel. the steer links have bushings on both end that wear from mileage and the whole link is usually replaced.
