In order to advance the timing on a 97 Ford Aspire, a person will need a timing light, wrench, wheel chocks, and jump cables. A person needs to be careful not to damage the engine when adjusting the timing.
when should the coarse wheel adjustment be used
front wheel drive
There is a tension adjustment on the driver side just forward of the rear wheel.
YES
on the 94 aspire the speed cable connects to the speedometer and goes through the firewall and to the wheel
To the best f my knowledge yes
The serpentine belt has an easy adjustment. Loosen the nut holding the tensioner wheel and turn the adjusting screw until proper belt tension is achieved. Tighten tensioner wheel nut.
There will need to be an alignment done on the vehicle to straighten the steering wheel properly. The adjustment to make it straight is called a "toe Adjustment". If it pulls while driving causing the steering wheel not to be straight it will need a Caster or Camber adjustment or all of these may need adjustmnet.
there is no timing belt on a ford explorer If you mean the serpentine belt, use a socket to take the tension off of the tensioner pully wheel. There should be a diagram under the hood. After the tension is removed, you can remove the belt. Use the diagram to correctly reposition it. It runs the AC, Alternator, Fan, Water pump etc.
flash a timing light ate the small oping between the engine and the tranny visible from right under the hood easy you will see the fly wheel and if it is only a small adjustment loosen the bolts on the distributor its self (not the black distributor cap) and you can twist it a little to get proper timing.
there is not one
