This is caused by a defective or misaligned door ajar switch. You need to get a wiring diagram and verify open-closed switch function of each individual sensor. If you have the wiring diagram please post. You are not alone!
Answerlook here -> http://www.cartrackers.com/Forums/live/fordwindstar/20.htmlhow to turn off dome lights to my 2005 navigator
other than you doing that your self from the dash, its probably your door switch that has gone bad, or the trunk
That is a safety feature, but to the left of steering wheel the first button you can turn to off to turn them off,but if you do that, you won't have day time running lights
U cant
Why do interior lights stay on when engine is shut off on 2001 Lincoln Continental car?
Auto Zone will read your engine lights codes for FREE.
I must assume you are talking about the back up lights you have to do it from inside the tailgate. you must remove the whole interior panel to get to it.I took it to the dealer and paid 60 bucks
You can view the 2004 Lincoln Navigator owners manual online at : www . motorcraft service . com ( no spaces ) Click on Owner Guides ( the warning lights are explained , with drawings , starting on page 10 )
more then likey under the dash in the fuse box if you don,t have the book go to the ford dealers parts counter and ask for a print out of your fuse box
In a 1997 Lincoln Continental : To the right of your headlight switch in the dash is a ( panel dim ) switch I believe if that is turned all the way up then the interior lights will come on
I would check your alternator*(check the spelling).
Do you mean that the lights inside go on and off as you drive? If so, the problem might be the door switches. They control the interior lights and sometimes get gummed up. Spray WD40 in the door latches and open/close the doors a few times. This usually fixes the problem. Good Luck!
