is ti an auto matic or a standard? If it is a standard it is your clutch otherwise i am not sure.
If it is dying as you are slowing or braking-usually braking-and you are getting a front end shudder or vibration, then it is likely your torque control converter. It will restart in Park, but once you shift, the converter will frequently (not consistently) disengage and kill the engine again. The "splines" in the converter have most likely shredded. If you brake slowly, it will minimize the occurrence, however, the converter will have to be replaced. Happened on mine-difficult diagnosis, but symptoms sound familiar. The 1.5 hour period has nothing to do with this-it will happen again when less than "soft" decelerations occur. You're looking at several hundred dollars-more if the tranny needs to be replaced ("spline" shards in the transmission possible)-you don't want metal shards in your tranny.
You might want to examin your proportioning valve
This is a problem that plagues all the N-body cars of these years from 1992-1998. You'll just have to stuff towels into the firewall on the passenger's side right where it meets the carpet and change it every two weeks or so. My 1995 Skylark has the same problem and GM never recalled it. The Skylark is a good car but had I known of this, I'd have gotten the Regal instead.
NO
Driving is a privilege not a right
Press "SET" and then use the keys on the bottom right of the radio.
On my 92 Buick Skylark my oil filter is right under the alternator in that area right next to the shocks housing, its is pretty clear to see you have a little bit of room to work with but you should be able to get it. Good Luck
Driving in ANY State is a privilege, not a right.
If you have a digital display on your skylark, therer is a button on the top right side of the diaplay. The button is used to change from volts, oil press, rpm, and temp, depending on which you want to see.
It is underneath the car. Right by where the oil filter is there is a little cap, and that is it.
Driving, at the Federal level, is defined as engaging in commerce. That is not a right. Traveling, however is a right.
It's near the back bumper cover, right behind the gas tank.
For the V6, it's in front of the transmission pan. The drain plug is right there.
