After idling in park for 10 minutes your 2000 Trooper turns off automatically?

The only thing I can think of off the top is that after 10 minutes of standstill idling usually an electric fan might kick on to draw air through the radiator and cool the anti-freeze. Perhaps there is a short in that system.
