Accessory position. Radio will play but ignition is still off.
The neutral safety switch is bad, the ignition does not recognize it is in park. Your ignition switch may be bad.

Answer The key has to be in the accessory position then you have to push hard on the pin as you are pulling on the key wiggling the key will help loosen it If key will not turn to accessory position you will have to drill out cylinder.If you don't want to do this a locksmith is cheaper than the dealer
If your batteries in the keyfob are OK then you need to synchronize your remote/s with the car using the following procedure:- 1, Ignition off 2, Key in ignition but leave ignition in off position 3, With key still in ignition press the lock button followed by the unlock button. If this doesn't work try again but with the ignition switched on (stage 2)
turn ignition to position 2 press 0 button twice within one second switch off ignition press and hold 0 button down and switch on to position 2 again still holding down 0 button after ten seconds will bleep job done
It does not have a cam sensor. That engine still use's the distributor to note the position of the cam. If it's not firing then you need to check the ignition module and pick-up coil, they are both in the distributor.

Sounds like you need a new battery.
In case you haven't done so allready, check all the fuses under the hood and in the dash.
When you turn the key all the way forward to start the vehicle, that not only turns your ignition system on, it also engages the starter and bendix drive. When you release the ignition switch, it returns to the position where the ignition is still hot, but the power to the side of the solenoid that engages the bendix drive is dead.
remove the plastic ring around the button you push on the shifter to switch gears, the car thinks it's still in drive and won't release the key. The ring removal will release it, but the actual fix involves replacing the whole shifter...
