Even in countries (like Singapore) where the JWs are banned from performing their Christian duties to "preach the good news of the kingdom" has Jehovah's Witnesses.

In the 2007 worldwide report for Jehovah's Witnesses, Dubai is not listed by name, so it is assumed that Dubai is among the 36 countries that does not have true freedom of religion, therefore, the work of Jehovah's Witnesses is likely banned. According to the 2007 worldwide report of Jehovah's Witnesses as posted on the watchtower.org website, there are Jehovah's Witnesses activily engaged in their ministry work in 236 countries. Of those, 206 countries are listed alphabetically, showing the total number of Witnesses in each country, and their combined activities for that year. The country of Dubai is not listed among the alphabetical listings. In that report, there are also 30 "other lands" listed together as a group. These 30 "other lands" usually represent countries where Jehovah's Witnesses are either not legally recognised, or outright banned by that government. In this case listing the names may jeopardize the personal safety of members of the congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses in those areas. Whether or not Dubai is one of those 30 "other countries" is a matter of speculation.

FURTHERAn interesting forum at www.forum18.org is an international watchdog group dedicated to reporting religious intolerance by the various governments around the world, and some of the atrocities committed against religious adherants by those governments. A look at that website reveals that a number of religions are suffering persecution to one degree or another in various lands, but you will find that an greater proportion of Jehovah's Witnesses are being persecuted in a number of different countries.

The Arabic State of Oman is not listed officially as one of the countries where Jehovah's Witnesses are actively preaching (see link below). This may be due to there being no Witnesses in that country but is more likely because their work is restricted.

It's very likely that you can't contact any Jehovah's Witnesses in Dubai; if there even are any there. Any non-Islam religions cannot proselitize there under penalty of criminal prosecution. Proselitizing is the main method of worship by Jehovah's Witnesses. Also we cannot distribute any religious literature there; so we could not even distribute Bibles as that is our main religious book.

You might find some of us in prison there for practicing our form of worship, but I doubt you could contact them there in prison.
