One transmission that will fit a 1991 Chevy Suburban is a 4L80E transmission.
1/2 tons used the 4L60E transmissions ONLY. 3/4 tons used the 4L80E in them ONLY.

1/2 tons used the 4L60/4L65E transmissions. 3/4 tons used the 4L80E/4L85E in them.
The actual 4L80E transmissions are, yes.
There are two different types easy way to tell is to count the number of bolts holding the tranny pan on. any auto parts store can then tell you what type you have in your Suburban. In 1992 it is most definitely a 4L80E. The T700R4 was phased out by then which was a strictly hydraulic transmission. The 4L80E computerized over hydraulic.
All 3/4 ton trucks from 1992 to 2010 use the 4L80E transmissions. The 1/2 tons used the 4L60E transmissions.
That would be the 4L80E automatic transmission.
All 3/4 and 1 ton trucks from 1992 to date will have the 4L80E transmissions in them. some have the 4L85E in them.
That would be the 4L80E
