I had the unfortunate experience of learning about headlice when my children got them when they were little. The lice liked my kids heads, that's for sure, and I don't know if it was because their hair was always clean or because it was thick and curly or what. But I do know that lice don't like grease and can't live in it if it's thick enough. In fact, I used ethnic hair grease to kill the lice. I smathered it all over my kids hair (braided my daughter's) and covered it with a shower cap for about 3 days. I kept the grease in it for about 2 weeks. Lice was gone and never came back.

They were, and still are, feared because they are bugs that just get into your hair and make you itch! People use to think that only dirty people get lice, but actually, anyone can get lice. They like clean hair the best, cause they can walk around better.
