Do not equate Hispanic with Mexican, which is basically all the media talks about. There are countless Hispanics in the US that entered the country legally. Also be aware of the fact that you don't have to be Hispanic to be an illegal immigrant. They come from every country in the world. They come to the US from Asia, Africa, or Europe with a tourist visa and stay on after it expires, that makes them illegal immigrants.
