Is it safe to drive a car with a blown head gasket?

No. You can warp the heads making your repair costs triple. You can not only warp the heads you can totally destroy the engine. Coolant mixes with the oil when a head gasket is blown. This causes serious engine wear in a short period of time. Never run an engine with a blown head gasket.

Cost of a blown gasket?

I'm assuming it is a head gasket? The part only costs about $30 but there is a good amount of labor involved (7 to 9 hours). If you are taking it into a shop it can cost you anywhere from $700 to $1200. You should decide if the car is worth it or not.

What would cause your 95 Deville to overheat pushing the radiator fluid in to the reserve tank?

HEAD GASKET ! HEAD GASKET! blown head gasket is allowing compression from 1 or more cylinders into the cooling system. you can try cooling system repair tablets that are made by g.m. for this problem. however this likely wont cure the problem. head gasket replacement for a 4.6 caddy costs several thousand . good luck!

Is it worth it to fix blown head gaskets?

That depends on the age of the car..the number of miles and how much the car is worth versus how much it costs to have the work done...do if you have a twelve year old car with 125000 miles and it's only worth 1500 dollars....and a head gasket job costs $400...then is that car worth about 2000 dollars to you??? And if the head gaskets are blown, chances are, that there are several other issues with that car..blown head gaskets are usually due to poor maintenance or abuse. Is the risk worth the expense if the transmission is probably going to go out soon...or if the car was driven for a while with the blown gasket...then your probably also going to have the engine seize up soon because the engine oil was contaminated with engine coolant and the bearings are now in really bad condition...always be aware that something as severe as a blown head gasket can lead to other serious repairs.

What is the difference between average total costs and average variable costs?

Average total cost is the average of all your costs. This is your Fixed Costs and your Variable costs. Average Variable Cost is the average of your costs that can fluctuate.
