sac fungi
"a packet of baking yeast holds spores of the sac fungus saccharmyces cerevisiae. when bread dough is set out to rise in a warm place the spores germinate and release cells that reproduce by budding. bubble of carbon dioxide produced by the fermenation of reactions in these cells cause dough to expand. fermentation by s. cerevisia also helps us produce beer and wine"
straight from the Biology book
Producing both bread and wine requires yeast and fermentation.
Sac fungi
The various kinds of yeasts are used in the brewing of beers and in wine making for the production of alcohol and carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide is especially important in baking and bread making to make the bread dough rise before baking.
When yeasts are used to make bread and for brewing, their ability to respire anaerobically makes them useful. They produce the alcohol for the beer/wine, and the CO2 for the baking. The CO2 makes the bread or pastry rise; the alcohol evaporates during the baking process
Depends. What do you mean with "treated with ethanol"? In bread making, ethanol (or ethyl alcohol) are produced without the intention of making wine. so it's halal.
Yes the bread and wine is blessed by the vicar.
Yes. Special beer- or wine-making yeast are selectively bred for taste and alcohol tolerance, but I have been using ordinary baking yeast for home brewing for years, with great results.
Jesus gave the bread first and then the wine.
It is Jesus. The bread is His flesh, and the wine is His blood.
Baking breads, brewing beer, and making wine. All rely on some form of yeast.
Yes there was bread and wine in the New Testament. In Luke 22:-17-19 Jesus said the wine is my blood and the bread was his body. ;~)
The outward signs for Holy Eucharist are the words the priest says when he blesses the bread and wine and the words he says when he gives the bread or wine. Another outward sign is the breaking of bread.
Yes and no it depends on what your baking. For example if your baking a cake with wine yeast then no. Now you can dry the wine yeast to get out the flavor, but it still tstes like wine.
The bread and wine of the Eucharist symbolises the body and Blood of Jesus.
