Most likely the battery is dead. Sometimes when the voltage regulator or the battery is performing poorly, it may tax one of the other starting/charging system components. To the point of failure. Sight unseen, first thing would be have battery checked for integrity. problem may even be as simple as a bad (corroded) connection on the battery. Baking soda and water can eliminate battery post corrosion. Corrosion on posts are simple to remedy, but can cause a lot of inconvenience, and danger at times too if the car leaves you stranded. Good luck.
Battery is located in the trunk.
OK, it has a battery. What are you wanting to know?
A ( 1981 ) Ford Escort takes a BCI group size ( 58 ) battery
the battery is in the trunk on the left side
Hi, the battery in my 86 Escort Wagon is in the back, behind the rear seat on the driver's side. Hope this helps.
What does it mean when the airbag light and battery light on 1999 Ford Escort flashes?
either alternator or wrong size battery
probably have a bad alternator or voltage regulator or bad battery cables
Only if your alternator is not working properly. If you are always charging your battery, check your alternator belt. That was the solution for my escort, a new $10.00 belt.
Check fuel. plugs, battery, wires
Are the nights cold? This is usually a battery problem. The night time temp is lower and is zapping your old or weak battery. Might get by with servicing the battery, but probably need a new battery
If you replaced the battery with a brand new one, then no. The battery comes from the store with a fuul charge. If it didn't come charged up, then you have bought a defective battery.
