Ther is a cap that says "oil" on it. If the cap says "710" it is upside down. The cap is located on top of the engine manifold and is labeled OIL. :-) Just look for the letters DOHC 16V and you will see it. Best of luck...

Can you? Sure you can. But use exactly what Renault recommends if you value the longevity of this engine.
Engine 1.1i = 3.2 litres Engine 1.4i = 3.2 litres Engine 1.6i = 3.2 litres Engine 1.4HDi and 1.4HDi 16V = 3.8 litres
go in your local car shop they have a book that will tell you. you dont have to buy it from them
Use the same BRAND that you've always used, but select an oil that is thick enough that the oil pressure light stays off when the engine is warm and at an idle.
