You my friend are experiencing an 'Optical Block' failure. Google 'Sony optical block google' and you will find a wealth of information relating to this particular occurence. Myself and many others in Australia and around the world are having quite a bit of difficulty in having Sony rectify this problem. I wish you luck in what will become a lengthy endeavour!
