It is probably the vacuum booster. That's what gives you your "power" brakes.
Remove the fuel tank and replace them.
check and see when your brake pedal is not pushed down if it is pushing the brake swith pin back in if so you need to replace the brake light swithch located behind the pedal
if it is brake fluid your brake cylinder is bad if it is gear oil you have a bad axel seal
I found the problem, one of the brake lines going to the rear wheels is leaking. :(
brake booster could be bad the seal around the rod that hooks to the brake pedal is leaking
brake fluid leaking from a brake drum indicates the brake slave cylander on that wheel is leaking and needs to be replaced you will not see the actual leak with out removing the brake drum
Seal in brake caliper is leaking and needs replacement Flexible brake line to the caliper is leaking and needs replacement
possibly a bad master cylinder.(the thing with the steel lines coming out of it) maybe low fluid(doubt it)
Check your back wheel cylinders, they are leaking, take both rear drums off and check for leaks.
where is it leaking from?
how do change brake pads on a 2002 dodge pickup 4x4
It all depends on what part is leaking what fluid. Brake cylinder would leak brake fluid. Axle seal would leak gear oil.
