1. best bet is remove the broken bolt out hopfully you broken it were some of the screw is still stickin out of the block. vise grips work best try not to brake of the rest to get it out.
2. tap it out with a tap set most for this car is to small to tap so getting the old bolt is easyies way. I dont see a tap set workin maybe take a drill tightin it down on it and spin it back slowly it may be loose enought to turn out or vise grips
it goes into the tube that pushes into the flange that bolts to the water pump it goes into the tube that pushes into the flange that bolts to the water pump
ok the best way is to look at the new water pump and find all the bolts.
The Chevrolet water pump bolts do need a sealant. Thread tape can be used on the bolts in the place of a sealant.
Remove serpentine belt, alternator, and power steering pump. Remove 4 water pump pulley bolts. Remove water pump housing bolts. Remove water pump.

Not sure on a '94, but on a '90 w/ a 1.6 you just remove the pulley bolts on the water pump, take off the pulley and belt, remove the thermostat housing on the side of the water pump, and then remove the water pump bolts. After that you can take off the water pump.
The steering pump is attached with 2 bolts. If you take the top bolt out and loosen the bottom bolt until it's almost completely out, you can move the pump/pulley enough to snake that bottom left water pump bolt out.

Drain the water from the cooling system. Remove the water hose from the water pump. Remove the belt from the water pump. Remove the water pump retaining bolts.
