Fuel pressure should be around 40. If the injectors are not getting power it will not start. Start with a crank sensor first.
Check the fuel pressure. There should be a test port near the throttle body. If that checks out OK, test the spark to make sure the coil packs are working. If everything checks out, try a little starting fluid to see if you can run the engine briefly that way. If it will start with starting fluid and not without, you have a fuel delivery problem and you need to go back through and test everything along the way. If you have good pressure to the test port, that's not the problem.
the spark plugs are located on the front of the engine under the hood
You may not have any spark, you need to check for spark with a spark tester..If you do not have spark it could be caused by your spark control modulel, bad coil ect.find out why you have no spark...Have you been having problems before with the truck turning off or stalling, prior to this? If so then i would suspect the spark control module.
Could be a number of things... bad air filter, fouled spark plugs, weak fuel pump...
could be out of time , may not be getting compression , may not be getting ENOUGH fuel pressure , you may be getting spark but are the spark plugs sparking when you ground them? Ther really needs to be more detailed information to completely anser this question correctly or atleast more helpfully. Try reposting or updating with year and size of engine and what type of ignition system , fuel delivery system
I'm thinking crank sensor.
2000 Buick century gap for spark plug 3.1l
it can have spark & fuel pressure ;But if the brains bad the injectors won't open up, To test it spray alittle start fluid and if it starts its the brain.....hope this helps.......
how much does an electronic spark control cost on a 1989 Buick? I just want a price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One at a time
The spark plug gap for a 2003 Buick LeSabre should be set at .060 inches. The best spark plug for this vehicle would be an Iridium plug.
also why is it if you use starting fluid the engine will fire up i am getting fuel thru the pressure regulator but will not fire up new filter new fuel pump relay getting fuel but will not fire up getting spark as well cause using starting fluid into the throttle body the car fires up so why wont it fire up if it's getting spark and fuel is it maybe not enough fuel can the fuel be pumping from the fuel pressure regulator but not be correct amount or correct pressure can the the fuel pressure regulator still be faulty even if fuel is coming thru it
the pressure in the engine will stop it from starting (oh 305's are shite)
The spark plug gap setting on a 1994 Buick Century is .055 inches. A new spark plug will come preset from the factory and should not need adjusting.
Does it turn over? yes Does it have fuel? yes Does it have spark?yes Does it have compression? Is timing set correctly? ( bad timing chain?)
when there isn't enough spark going to the sparkplugs, and your car is not starting. sometimes it occurs most in winter because of the temp.
The spark plug gap for a 2000 Buick Regal should be set at .060 inches. New spark plugs may be purchased at an auto parts store and will be preset.
