== == == == == == Below I illustrate how to send a picture from your PC to your Motorola cell phone via email. This method is too widely unknown and I only just discovered how to do it through trial and error.
For the Motorola RAZR cell phone use this as your email address 2085451623@vzwpix.com. The numbers, of course, representing your cell phone number with the area code. Now attach any JPGpicture with a 4:3, 5:4, or 22:23 aspect ratio. For all you that are PC savvy, that's probably all you need. But for those who are not, I will go on. If a picture has a 4:3 aspect ratio, that means that for every 4 pixels across, it is 3 pixels tall. Your standard TV has a 4:3 aspect ratio and has 640 horizontal pixels and 480 vertical. Another example of 4:3 is 800 pixels across, and 600 pixels tall. Notice when you reduce the fraction 800/600 it becomes 4/3, hence 4:3. 5:4 is a similar story, it is also wider than it is tall. An example would be 500 wide, 400 tall. 22:23 is taller than it is wide, just like your cell phone screen, which is what this type of picture is meant for. An example of 22:23 is 176 wide and 184 tall, which is exactly the size of the other wallpaper pictures preprogrammed into you cell phone. So before sending a picture to your phone, make sure it is one of these aspect ratios. If you want help navigating you phone call 1-888-453-1922. Some base model camera phones have no web/email access and cannot directly transmit pictures to an email address. In this case, you can text/pic message to a phone that does have this capability and email from there.
You can use MMS to send the photos to facebook. It works fine for one picture, but because of the costs and complexity of the process, is no choice for the upload of multiple photos. You can download the photos from your phone to your computer (using the supplied cable, USB, infrared, bluetooth, ... depending on what your computer and cell phone support). Then you can upload the photos regularly as described in the related question.
