An 06 Eclipse is wider than a 98 Eclipse. So I suppose you could mke it fit with some cutting and refitting. All about how much work, time and money you want to put into it. It can be done, but it's not going to just bolt on.
I very doubt it. If I am not mistaken GSX has all wheel drive system and turbo charged engine. Any of those make it incompatible with any other transmission.
