Yes, you can use lavender essential oil to prevent an oily complexion. To make sure you get a pure grade lavender go to youngliving.us. Health food store essential oils and beauty essential oils usually have other chemicals added to them, which makes them less effective and sometimes even harmful. Everyones different so I'd also try the Lemon oil from Young Living. My personal favorite is an oil blend called Purification. I use this oil on any and every skin problem I may have. Purification is also a great mosquitoe repellant. I didn't even have to swat them away from me. Purification is one of my favorites! I'd like to tell you that the essential oils from Young Living are powerful. If you start using them on a regular bases, then you probably need to cut using ordinary soaps, moisturisers etc. Your essential oils will react with anything that is impure. Normal Skin Care products are loaded with harmful chemical that shouldn't come near us. When you use these products they deposit these chemicals in your skin and in the fat cells of the body. Young Living oils will act to rid you of these chemicals which can cause irritation depending on the person, until they've neutralized whatever shouldn't be in your skin. Personally, I've never experienced irritation with any oils, but I have heard of a few people who had because of this reason. Feel free to ask me questions any time. I hope this helps you.
