Believers! verily these Idolaters are unclean [of faith]. So let them not after this year of theirs approach the Sacred Mosque. (Quran 9:28)

It is evident from the above mentioned verse (Quran 9:28) that the real reason of this prohibition is polytheism which has been called impure and unclean. Consequently, this prohibition stands analogously extended to people who have adopted polytheism as their religion, for example some sects of Hinduism. It cannot be extended to the adherents of such monotheistic religions as Judaism and Christianity. As has been explained earlier, though the followers of Christianity are involved in polytheistic practices, yet they never condone to polytheism as the real religion. Obviously, there is a world of difference between getting involved in polytheistic practices while considering them to be non- polytheistic and becoming followers of polytheism itself.

No. Non-Muslims are not permitted to go on Hajj. It is obligatory on Muslims only. No non-Muslim should enter Makka. Anybody who does not have the faith in Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) being the last Prophet of Allah is a Non-Muslim even if he claims to be a Muslim. If such a person is detected in Makka, he is put into jail.

No. It is against Saudi National Law and Islamic Law for a Non-Muslim to enter Mecca, let alone go to Masjid al-Haraam. As a result, it is impossible for a Non-Muslim to perform the Hajj except by deceit.
