if both are automatic and both have STOCK exhaust systems it should be alright
Right by the shift module on the transmission. Right behind where the Exhaust pipes join up when the come out of the engine.
Something in your engine or transmission is burning or your exhaust system has a crack somewhere
lokks to be on the lower right side of engine
In the rear, of the engine, right in the center, on top of the exhaust manifold. Right where the exhaust meets the engine block.
Right behind the engine
The 307's were rated right around 200 horsepower (SAE Gross) with a 2bbl and single exhaust.
You need to check all the exhaust pipe hangers, one of them is letting the exhaust rattle against something. Also check muffler heat shield it could also be loose. When transmission in engaged in any gear the engine is torqued to the right, so that is moving the exhaust ( it is attached to the engine so it moves with the engine )into a position to rattle, in neutral the engine is sitting evenly in its mounts so no rattle. May want to check engine and trans mounts too.
passenger side of the block below the exhaust manifold if you lay under the truck flat on your back you would be looking right straight at it on the rear of the block towards the transmission
First pop the hood of the car. Then look at engine and look to the right of the engine and it is the huge piece of metal attached to the engine. That is the transmission.
Catalytic converters are part of the exhaust system under the vehicle. They are right after the exhaust pipes come down from the engine
In the engine compartment , near the firewall , on the right side ( passenger side ) of the engine where the transmission is bolted to the back of the engine
It is located on the front side of the engine on the transmission side. It screws in right behind the front exhaust manifold where the manifold bolts to the crossover pipe.
