It is very likely. If no one tells you yes or no just look at the motor mounts and if they match up then you should be ok. Sorry I can't give you a yes or no answer
although a 91 escort 1.9l engine will bolt into stock location on 91 gt motor mounts, none of the wiring is the same you will have to extract all wiring from donor non gt model
not only is this true, butthe 1.9 is a Ford enginethe 1.8 is a Mazda engine manufactured for fordneed i say more?
No.
will need recoding
No it is not an interference engine. I personally had a timing belt break in my 94 Escort LX while the car was being driven and it was simply replaced.
A 91 engine will not fit in a 98 Escort. The 91 engine is from a generation II Escort whereas a 98 engine is from a generationIII Escort.
well youll probly have to change the tranny if you changing the engine
i would try changing the spark plug first
No, they are different.
Yes, the engine in a 2000 Escort is NOT an interference engine.
Yes, both the SOHC and DOHC engines are interference engines. The belt must be replaced every 120,000 miles.
What year escort do you have and what engine does it have? No one can answer your question without this information. 1997 excort lx 2.0 liter
There is an engine temperature sensor that operates the cooling fan.
When it cracks out (most common failure) it has to be replaced. It's between the engine and the transmission which must come out to get to it.
