The 2000 Eclipse GS does not come equipped with this feature. I own a 2000 Eclipse GS and i had my car involved in an accident. It wouldn't start and i thought about this switch but wasn't sure so i called Mitsubishi Motors and they assured me that it isn't equipped. Turns out my Eclipse had an electrical short circuit in the accident and that's why it wouldn't start. Hope i helped.
Its pretty easy, as long as you have or have found a new switch. You just have to go to your local Chevy Dealer
Beside your headlight switch in the dash is your gauge panel dimmer switch ( Rotate the switch all the way up to turn on the interior lights )
dimmer switch wore out or you might just have running lights.
